Each piece in this collection has been made through a process of casting molten metal into deep water - an idea calling to me through both my love of the ocean, but also my obsession with chance during the creative process. Watching the variables play out through the interaction of materials in flux is a magical thing to witness.

The changeability of metal from molten to solid, mimics the forms water can take, steam, liquid and ice. In capturing the metal in this state, I feel that it truly has a feeling of movement, much like a cresting wave or a ripple in a lake. Each piece in this collection is a one off, totally unique to you.

Made:

This necklace has been carefully handcrafted from a solid recycled silver pendant on a reclaimed rice pearl chain. This silver shape really is special, almost a vessel, with the textured internal surface reminding me of an oyster shell, opening to reveal a pearl. The pendant on this piece can be removed allowing you to wear the rice pearl chain alone if wanted at times.

Care:

Silver is easy to polish. If your piece tarnishes gently polish; use an old toothbrush to get to harder to clean areas if necessary. Clean pearls carefully with lukewarm water.
