FORMS OF WATER

Each piece in this collection has been made through a process of casting molten metal into deep water - an idea calling to me through both my love of the ocean, but also my obsession with chance during the creative process. Watching the variables play out through the interaction of materials in flux is a magical thing to witness.

The changeability of metal from molten to solid, mimics the forms water can take, steam, liquid and ice. In capturing the metal in this state, I feel that it truly has a feeling of movement, much like a cresting wave or a ripple in a lake. Each piece in this collection is a one off, totally unique to you.

Made:

These earrings have been carefully handcrafted from a solid recycled silver charm on a gold-filled drop clasp. Please note, these earrings are not identical, rather an asymmetric pair.

The mix of silver and gold reminds me of evening sunlight dancing off rippling open water. The shapes of the drops are so fun of fluid falling movement, as if falling rain has been caught in motion. The silver dances in the light.

100% recycled silver & gold-filled

 

Care:

Silver is easy to polish. If your piece tarnishes gently polish; use an old toothbrush to get to harder to clean areas if necessary. Gold-filled can be bought back to shine by gently polishing with a polishing cloth.
